Use: Uprima is used to treat erectile dysfunction more commonly known as impotence in men. This is when a man cannot get or keep a hard errect penis suitable for sexual activity. Uprima is not approved for use in women. Uprima will not increase your sex drive. Uprima will only work if you are sexually excited.
How to take it: The normal recommended dose for Uprima is one 3 mg tablet 20 minutes before engaging in sexual activity. Before you take Uprima, drink a full glass of water. This will help the tablet dissolve properly. After drinking the water, place the tablet under your tongue and let it dissolve slowly. It might take about 10 minutes for the tablet to dissolve. Sexual stimulation is required for the drug to take effect, and for an erection to be achieved. For most patients, Uprima should be taken once a day as required. Take one tablet in an eight-hour period. DO NOT exceed 3 mg within that time period. Serious complications can occur.
Side effects: Common side effects are nausea, headache, dizziness, yawning, sleepiness, infection, sore throat, pain, increased cough, rhinitis, flushing, taste disorder and/or sweating.
Precautions: Use extra precautions and consult with your doctor before taking Uprima if you have a deformity or disease of the penis, you experience severe dizziness or feel faint after taking Uprima, you are taking medications with nitrates, you have liver or kidney problems, you have abnormally high blood pressure, or you are taking other treatments for erectile dysfunction.
