Use: Celapram and Celexa are the same thing. This is an antidepressant used to treat the symptoms of depression and other mood disorders. The active ingredient Citalopram Hydrobromide is a member of the SSRI family (as are other antidepressants like, Prozac, Aropax, and Zoloft). Therefore it works in the same way with blocking the serotonin uptake in the brain.
How to take it: Take once daily or as prescribed by your physician. It does not need to be taken with food.
Side effects: Most common side effects are effects on sleep and eating habits. These side effects are mild and decreased as treatment is continued. Talk to your doctor if you are worried.
Precautions: Alcohol intake should be limited because of the effects of a combination could increase drowsiness and fatigue. If you wish to become pregnant, notify you doctor and ask about effects on pregnancy with this medication.
